I have created this wiki to share my learning journey as a Teacher of English as a foreign language.
I strongly believe in learning as a fascinating journey that lasts all our life. As in every journey, we choose a place where we want to go only to find that when we have arrived there, we get a completely different view, sometimes better than we had expected, sometimes rather disappointing so we decide to visit a new place. However, it is the process of discovery and enjoyment along the way that makes the journey enrichening and worthwhile. We are not the same after we have reached a stopover or our destination. We have not only learnt about a place outside but also inside ourselves. And that is always empowering for me.
My learning journey has not always followed the same route. Although I decided I wanted to be a teacher of English when I was only twelve years old, and I have been a teacher for over twenty-five years, I am a Specialist in ICT and Education, a postgraduate course of studies organized by the National Ministry of Education of Argentina. I have developed a growing interest in ICT as a wonderful teaching and learning tool. I also discovered Neurolinguistic Programming applied to Education years ago. I am an NLP Master Practitioner applied to Education; I studied NLP with two wonderful teachers, Laura Szmuch and Jamie Duncan. in Versailles, Buenos Aires. I had never expected I would be learning so much in these past years, but here I am, still learning every day.
I would like to finish this introduction by thanking my students for helping me learn every day to become a better teacher on each step of the way.
Welcome to myeltjourney!
